Z-Sealed

Rollstock is film that is wound around a 3” core and shipped to the customer for further converting.  Typically rollstock is used for automated, semi-automated, or hand made operations.  These operations at the customer location or on-site result in custom made barrier pouches, tubing, pallet covers, bin liners, etc.  Rollstock is particularly practical for bagging a unique, large item.

The maximum material web widths for Mil-Spec film is either 36”, 48” or 50” depending upon the material. This limiting factor can be overcome with a Z-sealed rollstock converting technique. We have a dedicated machine to make this type of product whereby we seal three (3) webs together and then roll it on a 3” core. The web sizes must be different for it to work. The seal size is ½”, so remember to account for it in the ordering process.

Example: If a 48” and 46” and 44” are Z-sealed, the net width of the sheet will be 136” (48” + 46” + 44” – ½” seal – ½” seal – ½” seal – ½” seal)
